When we began our journey in 2012, the retail trading landscape looked vastly different. From the beginning, Best 10 Prop Challenges launched as the premier resource and news publication devoted to the proprietary trading scene—and the discipline required to master it. Created by two financial journalists—and joined by many more—it is known for its impeccable due diligence and trend-spotting on the funded trader beat. A lifelong market analyst, Michelle covers any and everything from her home base in LA. She got her start in the industry by founding—and eventually selling—a popular resource site called The Bootstrapped Trader. She’s since served as the Senior Market Editor for The Daily Chart, freelanced as a fintech, crypto, macro-economics, and psychology writer for a host of online publications, and even did time spearheading marketing efforts for a venture-backed defi protocol. In her spare time (ha!) Michelle works on educational webinars, offers consulting services to traders wanting to scale their capital, and is always backtesting at least one new strategy.

Tehrene Firman

Tehrene got her start as a junior analyst at a Forex brokerage, but realized her true passion is in the retail prop space. When she’s not bringing her rule-scrutinizing and news-writing skills, the Iowa native can be found testing automated strategies for her blog, Green Pips Daily, going on walks with her fluffy little dog to decompress after market close, binge-watching Billions, or refining her edge in the strategy tester.
